GlassRatner Services - Receiver and Trustee

GlassRatner often acts as a court appointed Receiver on behalf of lenders, servicers, or equity sponsors. A court appointed Receiver can be appointed when a lender decides to pursue a non-judicial foreclosure or other disputed situations where an unrelated third party is desired. When this remedy is taken, all income, as well as all the burdens and liabilities of the ownership of the property become the Receiver’s.

As Receiver, GlassRatner can assist management with the financial analysis and other information regarding the decision to sell the property "as is", or to hold the property to maximize the distressed property's value through improvements or appreciation, and can help prevent the borrower from further reducing the value of the property.

As Receiver, GlassRatner can assist with responsibilities of taxes, tenants, leasing and maintenance issues which can become legal obligations of the lender. We not only limit the lender's liability, but provide the daily management and operations activities required to produce income from the property.
