Mr. Cedar has 17 years of experience in Public Accounting, Forensic and Litigation Accounting, Bankruptcy Advisory Services and M&A Advisory Services. Prior to joining GlassRatner as a Managing Director, Mr. Cedar spent nine years in the consulting practices of three nationally recognized turnaround and advisory services firms working in their Florida and New York offices. In addition, Mr. Cedar was a Senior Finance Manager for a private equity firm in New York where he assisted in raising capital and executing M&A transactions and played an integral role in the operations of their portfolio companies.

Mr. Cedar has been involved with numerous high profile and complex assignments including large corporate bankruptcies, forensic accounting investigations and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Cedar’s creditors’ rights and bankruptcy experience includes performing complex financial analysis for entities in and out of bankruptcy. Further, Mr. Cedar’s litigation and forensic experience includes assisting clients in calculating and presenting damage claims in litigation for dispute resolution primarily relating to lost profits, economic damages and breach of contract and performing internal corporate investigations related to fraud or white collar crime.

Mr. Cedar has analyzed debtor-in-possession financing budgets, cash collateral forecasts, plans of reorganization and other financial information related to bankruptcy proceedings. Further, he has prepared preference analysis and investigated other causes of action including those related to fraudulent conveyance, bankruptcy fraud and other breach of fiduciary duty. He has advised debtors and unsecured creditors’ committees in connection with out-of-court and Chapter 11 reorganizations as well as Chapter 7 liquidations. He has performed investigations, due diligence analyses and litigation support services for financial institutions and Chapter 7 Trustees.

Mr. Cedar has provided professional services to clients on acquisitions involving target companies with revenues up to $500 million. Services include both buy-side and sell-side due diligence investigations, management consulting and development of financial projections. Clients include private equity, specialty finance and corporate strategic buyers.

Mr. Cedar is a CPA and a CIRA (Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor). He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bentley College and a Masters in Taxation degree from Northeastern University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Mark also holds a position on the Board of Public Relations for the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) in Florida.
