Armen Avedissian has over twelve years of experience in various financial advisory roles including restructuring, turnarounds, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions (both healthy and distressed), cash management, creditor negotiation and litigation consulting.

Prior to joining GlassRatner in 2016, Mr. Avedissian was a Managing Director at Sherwood Partners where he provided restructuring, turnaround, and liquidation services to distressed companies, senior lenders and private equity groups.

Before joining Sherwood Partners, Mr. Avedissian spent five years, most recently as a Director, in the Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice at FTI Consulting, Inc. where he played a key role in advising distressed companies in the alternative energy, automotive, entertainment, healthcare, pharmaceutical, real estate and technology industries.  Additionally, he was a member of the firm’s investment banking practice, FTI Capital Advisors, LLC (member FINRA/SIPC), where he advised a diverse group of middle-market companies, both healthy and distressed, on capital raising and mergers and acquisitions transactions. In addition to consulting on corporate finance and restructuring engagements at FTI Consulting, Mr. Avedissian also advised clients on litigation consulting matters involving the energy, food, insurance, real estate, technology and telecommunication industries.  A few representative engagements include Iridium, Enron, a multinational European dairy and food corporation, and numerous matters involving companies embroiled in the stock option backdating scandal.

Armen holds an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he received the Graduate School of Business Merit Scholarship, a J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and a B.A. in History and Political Science from The University of California, Los Angeles. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
