Carmen Ramsey is a CPA with over 20 years of experience in Public Accounting, Auditing, Forensic Accounting, Litigation Support and Financial Accounting.

Ms. Ramsey began her career in public accounting as an Audit Associate with Coopers & Lybrand in the financial services practice specializing in banking, insurance, and investment companies with SEC reporting requirements. She quickly was promoted and went to Ernst & Young, focusing on litigation support and asset valuations in addition to auditing.  Carmen was instrumental in recreating a two year accounting of a financial services firm for use by the plaintiff’s counsel.  She performed asset valuations for financial companies and was responsible for the financial audits of public, private, non-profit and governmental entities.

Prior to her move to Atlanta, she was the Controller, reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board, for a private holding company with assets in excess of $2.5 Billion.  Carmen managed cash and investments.  She was also responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the holding company and its businesses in industries including manufacturing, recreational venues, hotel and golf resorts and real estate.  Ms. Ramsey was directly responsible for analyzing subsidiary financial statements, evaluating budget variances and associated management comments and preparing consolidated statements.  She developed and presented a comprehensive valuation analysis of each business with divestiture recommendations to the Board. Ms. Ramsey facilitated the negotiations and sale of two of the company’s largest businesses to a national investment firm.

Carmen is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).  She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a dual major in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University.  She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
