Eric Jenkins is a Senior Managing Director with GlassRatner working out of Chicago.  In addition to being part of the national leadership team Eric is also the firm’s point of contact in the Chicago area.  Eric brings more than 20 years of experience in financial advisory services including restructuring and turnaround, buy and sell-side advisory, capital raisings, and interim management services.  Throughout his career, he has served as advisor in raising more than $3 billion in capital and more than $2 billion in strategic transactions.

Eric’s expertise encompasses representing both debtors and creditors in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, technology, business services, real estate, consumer products, natural resources, and pass-through and not-for-profit entities.   

Prior to joining GlassRatner, Eric held senior management positions with Cordes & Company, Deloitte, and Bank of America Securities.  He has also served as a member of senior management in public and private companies. 

Eric holds a Masters of Business Administration in finance and accounting with highest honors from the University of Illinois, and an undergraduate degree in finance from Miami University.

Eric is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and member of TMA, AIRA, CFA and ACG.

  • Interim Restructuring Officer to large indoor sports complex and its Board of Directors in its operational turnaround and debt restructuring efforts of its $28 million in tax-exempt bonds.
  • Interim President to a real estate fractional ownership business leading the operational turnaround and restructuring efforts which resulted in the sale and full debt repayment to it lenders.
  • Interim CFO and Financial Advisor to an international HR outsourcing company responsible for its operational turnaround and successful sale.
  • Court-Appointed Receiver for a mixed-use commercial property responsible for managing and preserving receivership estate resulting in the successful sale of the property.
  • Financial Advisor to the Indenture Trustee acting on the behalf of bondholders in the bankruptcy matter of a large multi-rink ice center and its $20 million in revenue bonds.
