    • Retained as Financial Advisor to the Debtor and CRO of Star Computer, Inc., a Miami based wholesale distributor of cell phones, tablets and related computer accessories.  Prior to seeking our assistance, Star had annual sales volume of approximately $450 million with a network of customers located throughout the Caribbean, Latin America and South America.  We oversaw and managed the orderly liquidation of the inventory and collection of cross-border receivables.  Logistically we assisted in coordinating incoming shipments from vendors in Asia to Star’s warehouse in Miami and then redistributing the goods to Star customers in Latin America.
  • Representative Matters

    • Beginning in 2002 through 2006, GlassRatner assisted the supply chain arm of a Fortune 50 shipping and logistics firm with four major projects resolving disputes with customers regarding the Company’s performance and inventory controls regarding product and parts storage, and delivery of time-critical spare parts, which were deployed in geographically dispersed locations. The four projects related to products and parts held for:
      • One of the world’s largest producers of microprocessor manufacturing equipment,
      • A leading producer of personal computers and laptops,
      • One of the largest producers of aircraft engines and part of a global conglomerate, and
      • A global producer of medical and imaging equipment which was part of a Fortune 50 conglomerate.

Our efforts limited the Company’s performance penalties and eliminated all alleged inventory losses. These four projects, none of which resulted in litigation, proved GlassRatner’s ability to bring clarity to complex business problems, provide resolution and solutions to avoid recurrence of the problems.  While always working under the aegis of Company’s outside counsel, counsel’s role diminished and by the last of these projects, GlassRatner was working directly with the Company to negotiate settlement with the customer.
