GlassRatner and B. Riley Financial were recognized on a short list of nominees as firms that impressed for the GRR Awards. The GRR Awards celebrates all of the best cross-border restructuring and insolvency developments, people and places that made an impact between March 2018 and March 2019. Here is the snippet on GlassRatner's participation:
B Riley Financial/GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group - US restructuring firm GlassRatner merged with LA-based financial service group B Riley Financial in August 2018, and has been operating as its subsidiary ever since. Following the merger, both firms appear to be going from strength to strength: in September B Riley's investment banking arm hired a new senior managing director, Alex Rohan, in its New York office from Guggenheim Securities, followed by another from Oppenheimer & Co in October, Richard NeJame. Later that month Thomas Buck also joined GlassRatner as a principal from EisnerAmper in New York.
Among its recent work, GlassRatner has been helping debtor Premier Exhibitions sell thousands of relics from the doomed RMS Titanic and the rights to excavate the ship's wreckage as part of a court-supervised auction. The advisory firm helped to identify potential buyers, according to court papers.
